Priyanka Jain, founder of Evvy, and Nisha Dua of BBG Ventures (one of the first funds to back women in 2014) dug into what it takes to build a company in a category that barely existed when you started — Priyanka launched Evvy at 26 with a machine learning background and a personal experience of going undiagnosed despite access to New York City's best doctors. Evvy has now built the world's first and largest vaginal microbiome database (100,000+ patients), launched Evvy AI — the first AI advisor for vaginal health — after discovering that 60% of women's health questions are incorrectly answered by existing LLMs, and got celebrity supporters from Reese Witherspoon to Amy Schumer through Equal Research Day, a holiday Priyanka invented. Nisha's thesis that lived experience creates competitive advantage in healthcare is exactly the through line that connects BBG's 2014 bet on women founders to Evvy's 2026 moment.
